No single person is the same which is why I'll tailor a course of therapy for you depending on your specific needs.
Although I believe in general guiding principles, I don't believe "one size fits all." You're unique and so the therapy that is right for someone else is not necessarily right for you.
Some of the modalities I utilize are listed below:
CBT is a therapy that focuses on thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. CBT says that you can make changes in any one of those areas that will impact the others. For example, if you change your thoughts then your behaviors and feelings will change also. TF-CBT is a trauma-focused way of looking at CBT. This type of therapy focuses on self-regulation and/or coping skills and making a trauma narrative.
In making this narrative you (or your teens) can gain power over your trauma and own your story. TF-CBT help us to own our own stories.

It is a more directive, client-centered approach and is best used with those who are illustrating a great deal of ambivalence around some sort of change. It is about asking permission instead of lecturing which builds trust and rapport with the client.
The goal of MI is to help resolve client ambivalence, elicit change talk and behavior, and utilize internal client motivation to do so. This assists me in getting to the “nitty gritty” of the issue.

RTM is a short term, trauma-focused, clinician-facilitated treatment typically consisting of 5 or less, 90-minute sessions. RTM can be delivered in as little as a week’s time but requires at least 24 hours between treatments. Treatment is complete when the client’s traumatic feelings have been separated from their memories of traumatic events.
RTM works for people dealing with a wide range of traumatic events. Whether the trauma event happened 1 month ago or 50 years past, RTM can help all ages. Anyone who is tired of suffering with PTSD symptoms and wants a better quality of daily living will gain from RTM treatment.
